Fudge Cookies
Ingredients:
100g of Unsalted Butter
100g Light Brown Soft Sugar
1 tablespoon of golden syrup
150 Self-Raising Flour
50g Fudge pieces
1.
Preheat your oven to 180 C (gas mark 4) and line baking trays with grease
proof paper
2. Using
a electric hand mixer beat the butter and light brown soft sugar together until
fluffy
3. Add the golden syrup and mix together for another minute
4. Add
in the fudge pieces and flour into the mixture and use a spoon to mix until it
forms into dough
5. Then
use your hands to divide the dough into small balls and place them spread out
onto the baking tray
6. Cook
for around 12-15 minutes or until they are lightly brown around the edges
The
original recipe did come from a book I brought from Sainsbury's called the "Baking
Recipe Collection by Sainsbury's" (for only £5!) and you can find the original
recipe for Butterscotch Chip cookies in there. I did changed the recipe by
adding self-raising flour and fudge
pieces instead, if you have a large family like I have, I normal double up the ingredients
so it makes double the amount of cookies.
