Current Obsession: Yankee Candle Heart Wax Melt Tart Burner

Ok, so it has been a while since I did a candle blogging theme post mainly because ever since getting my cat I just felt I couldn't leave a candle burning in my room in case she knocks it over and causes a fire. Also, I sort of fell out of love burning Yankee Candle votive samplers because after a while burning them I could barely smell the candle.

So after doing some research I came across the idea of getting a tart burner! Firstly they are made of strong stuff and are less likely to get knocked over. Secondly the tea light flame what burns the tart melt is covered so you're less likely to burn yourself on the flame. Thirdly if you are the type of person who forgets to blow your candle out when you go out, most tea lights only burn for a few hours so your candle will blow itself out.

After doing a lot of searching around on the internet I decided to order one from the website Temptations Gifts which I can't highly recommend the company enough. They have such great discounts on Yankee Candle products that if you're ordering a few pieces it is well worth ordering from them.

I ended up ordering one of Yankee Candles newest tart burners called "Love is in the Air Melt Warmer". I am so happy with it; it looks so simple and classic. It's a wax burner that would fit in any room. At night this candle burner looks so pretty when you can see the glowing heart lit up and I just love pink heart dish on top which holds the wax melt. After ten minutes of lighting the tea light which burns the wax melt it fills the room full of scent which you can really smell.

Yankee Candle Candy Cane Lane Review

Every year, Yankee Candle release their Christmas edition scented candles into the UK shops and until now I wasn't that fussed about wanting to purchases any of them. So, on the off chance I thought I would take a look in Clinton Cards (who are my local stockist for the candles) to get a chance to be able to smell the candles before they are no longer available. To be honest none of Yankee Christmas candles seemed to smell off anything special that I hadn't smelt before. Until I picked up the scent Candy Cane Lane and the smell just hooked me in.

The smell reminds me a lot of my favourite ice cream, Mint choc chip! The candle just smells off peppermint but not a smell that is sickly at all. Yankee Candle describes the scent as being made with "tingly peppermint, sweet cookies and creamy vanilla icing". The only negative I found while burning the candle is, that compared to most of the Yankee Candles that I have burned the smell of this scent is really weak. Because you can only smell the candle while you're in the room unlike some that you can smell throughout the house.

Overall, I am so in love with the smell of this candle and just in case Yankee Candle don't  bring this scent back out next Christmas I have just brought myself a larger version of the candle in the sale as backup for next year. If you love sweet smells then this candle is definitely for you!

My Autumn Essentials

Autumn Essentials

Sorry for the lack of blog posts at the moment, I have just started my new job working full time and it's so hard finding some time to sit down and actually write a blog post for my blog for you all to read. So I thought to get me back into my blogging ways and I would do a quick post based on my favorite autumn essentials. So here they are:

1. Winter Pyjamas - One of the things that I love most about this time of year is winter pyjamas especially if they are a bit on the Christmassy side. It's not even winter yet and I seem to have already brought four pairs of winter pyjamas already! This year I especially love buying my pyjamas from Next they have so many nice ones to pick from.

2. Glee Season 5 - I have loved Glee ever since it started and this series so far is living up to my expectations however it's so odd watching it without one of the main stars Cory Monteith.

3. Yankee Candle Black Cherry - This Yankee Candle is perfect for this time of year and is one of my favourite scents to burn in my bedroom.

4. Hot Chocolate - Now the nights are getting colder there is nothing that I love more than having a cup of hot chocolate before bed. At the moment I love the flavour of the Cadburys Fudge flavour!

What are your favorite Autumn essentials?

Spring Candle Collection / Haul

After using all my winter candle collection up, I thought it would be nice to get some more candles back into my life for spring.
Sainsbury's TU Passion Flower and Mango candle - in the TU home range there is a range of scents these candles come in. You can decently smell the mango scent in the candle and it not a scent that is to strong or overpowering it reminds me of washing powder. I love that these candles come in a glass container to burn in and they are not too pricey compare to the Yankee Candle brand, usually they are £4 but I picked this one put on offer for £2.66 (not bad for 35 hours burning time). After burning it for a while the smell of candle seems to disappear and it doesn't really smell so I properly wouldn't buy one again for that reason. However it does look very pretty burning in its frosty glass container and would make a simple gift.

Yankee Candle Black Cherry - This is the candle that I find myself going back to over and over again, it is my favourite scented candle out of the whole Yankee Candle collection and nothing comes close to it, every time I place an online order I just have to get it. It smells just like cherries and as soon as you light it the whole room smells of it. I find that some Yankee candles are to strong and smell sickly but this is perfect. If you never tried a Yankee Candle I would go for this one along with the scent of fresh cotton to get started.

Yankee Candle Samplers:

Sweet Apple and Orange Splash Samplers - this scent has been create along with orange splash new for spring 2014. They are perfect for spring because they smell just like fresh fruit, Orange Splash smells like the mango scent The Body Shop sells. I feel out of all the samplers I think I would like to buy the orange splash in a large candle jar.

Fireside Treats Sampler - I had my eye on this one just before Christmas and never got around to trying it so I thought while placing an order I would add it into my basket. It smells just like marshmallow and fireside mixed together.

Summer Scoop Sampler - this scent came out last year in the 2013 collection and I really wanted to try it. It smells just like strawberry ice cream but not in a sickly way.
