Lush Boxing Day Sale Mini Haul

Every year, I seem to miss out on the Lush sale normally because everything is sold out by the time I remember about it. But lucky enough this year when I popped into my local store a day after Boxing Day and they still had a few things left! I managed to pick up three products that I wanted to try for a while, which were Candy Mountain, Butter Bear and Melting Snowman.

The reason why I picked up the Butter Bear is because it is based on the Butterball bath bomb that I also haven't tried so being in the sale it was the perfect chance to try it. The Butter Bear has cocoa butter in so it helps skin stay soft and hydrated in the winter months.
Butter Bear
My favourite products that Lush sells are their bubble bars because I feel you get more value for your money when using them because you can get more than one bath out of them. So that was the main reason for picking but Candy Mountain and it smells amazing.
Candy Mountain
The last one I decided to pick up is the Melting Snowman bath melt, mainly because he looks so cute and I couldn't resist not picking him up. I think this is the one that I am most looking forward to using!

Yankee Candle Candy Cane Lane Review

Every year, Yankee Candle release their Christmas edition scented candles into the UK shops and until now I wasn't that fussed about wanting to purchases any of them. So, on the off chance I thought I would take a look in Clinton Cards (who are my local stockist for the candles) to get a chance to be able to smell the candles before they are no longer available. To be honest none of Yankee Christmas candles seemed to smell off anything special that I hadn't smelt before. Until I picked up the scent Candy Cane Lane and the smell just hooked me in.

The smell reminds me a lot of my favourite ice cream, Mint choc chip! The candle just smells off peppermint but not a smell that is sickly at all. Yankee Candle describes the scent as being made with "tingly peppermint, sweet cookies and creamy vanilla icing". The only negative I found while burning the candle is, that compared to most of the Yankee Candles that I have burned the smell of this scent is really weak. Because you can only smell the candle while you're in the room unlike some that you can smell throughout the house.

Overall, I am so in love with the smell of this candle and just in case Yankee Candle don't  bring this scent back out next Christmas I have just brought myself a larger version of the candle in the sale as backup for next year. If you love sweet smells then this candle is definitely for you!

Handbag Reveal: Longchamp Le Pliage Tote

I been looking everywhere for a new tote style handbag to take to work with me to carry all my essentials with me every day. I wanted a handbag that wasn't too big and bulky to carry with me on the bus but just something that looked simple and could be easily wiped cleaned when leaving it on the floor all day. Also I wanted a handbag that was waterproof so when I walk into work I don't have to worry about everything inside my handbag getting wet.
So for a while I watched a number of handbag videos on YouTube (mainly handbag collections videos that are my favourite to watch) and one handbag brand kept popping up and it was the brand Longchamp.
After doing my research I decided to go for the Le Pliage in medium however for some reason in the UK Longchamp have renamed it as the Le Pliage small. This confused me for a while until I checked the measurements which were the same (H25cm x W25cm x D14cm).  I have noticed by watching these videos that Longchamp have now changed the inside lining for some reason because the inside of this handbag is black whereas before they were white. This is a lot better because you won't see the dirt inside.
I can now see why so many handbag lovers have more than one Longchamp in their collections because they are really useful handbags to have and they come in so many colours and different styles and sizes. The reason why I picked my Longchamp in the navy colour is mainly because I don't own a navy handbag however I am very tempted getting this handbag in the violet colour as well!

My Autumn Essentials

Autumn Essentials

Sorry for the lack of blog posts at the moment, I have just started my new job working full time and it's so hard finding some time to sit down and actually write a blog post for my blog for you all to read. So I thought to get me back into my blogging ways and I would do a quick post based on my favorite autumn essentials. So here they are:

1. Winter Pyjamas - One of the things that I love most about this time of year is winter pyjamas especially if they are a bit on the Christmassy side. It's not even winter yet and I seem to have already brought four pairs of winter pyjamas already! This year I especially love buying my pyjamas from Next they have so many nice ones to pick from.

2. Glee Season 5 - I have loved Glee ever since it started and this series so far is living up to my expectations however it's so odd watching it without one of the main stars Cory Monteith.

3. Yankee Candle Black Cherry - This Yankee Candle is perfect for this time of year and is one of my favourite scents to burn in my bedroom.

4. Hot Chocolate - Now the nights are getting colder there is nothing that I love more than having a cup of hot chocolate before bed. At the moment I love the flavour of the Cadburys Fudge flavour!

What are your favorite Autumn essentials?

The Body Shop Honeymania Bubble Bath Melt Review

I had my eye on this product from The Body Shop for a while now, however I just felt I couldn't justify spending £8 just on bubble bath. But lucky enough The Body Shop sent me a discount code to get money off so I couldn't resist and I ended up buying it and only paying around £4 which wasn't a bad price. I really do love my bath products however The Body Shop don't seem to have many products such as bubble bath or bath oils in there shop so I decided to give this one a try.

What the product does: According to The Body Shop website this product creates creamy bubbles, leaves skin feeling softer and smother and contains a rich floral scent which contains Community Fair Trade honey made from the nectar of thousands of wildflowers.

My thoughts: Even though this product is called Honeymania, it doesn't have a honey smell to it; it has more of a sweet floral smell to it. This product is very runny so you only need to but a small bit into your bath tub.  I have to say after using this product my skin did feel a lot softer so I have to say that claim is true.
Downside? When using the products you have to scoop some of the mixture out with your hand and place in the water which is very thick and can get a bit messy. So it would have been nice if a scoop came with the product or if your careful poor a little bit out of the tub.

Would I buy this product again? Yes, I think I would definitely buy this product again, even at full price you do get more than 15 baths out of this product which is good compared to some products on the market. Also what I love about this product compared to some bubble bath is that the smell of the product is not lost when the bubbles are created the whole bath smells so nice. I would love it if The Body Shop brought it out in some more scents.

Review: The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue

Ever since getting back from my trip in London my feet have been so sore from walking in my converse so I thought I would buy this intensive foot rescue cream to help bring my feet back to life. I read so many great reviews on The Body Shop website I thought I would try it out for myself.

What the product does: According to The Body Shop website this product is for feet that is in need for some TLC and works by you rubbing this cream into your feet twice a week and leaving it on overnight for a overnight moisture-booster. This product is meant to help soften hard skin, rehydrates dry heels and helps to combat odours.

My thoughts: The smell of this product is amazing it is meant to smell of Peppermint however to me it reminds me the smell of mint chocolate chip ice cream which brings back so many childhood memories! Even though this product says use on night-time before bed I use this product as normal in the daytime and it works fine. The product itself feels like butter and soaks straight into your feet when you're using it. From the first use it has made my feet so much softer and has started to repair my cracked heels.

Would I buy this product again? Yes, the smell of this product is amazing and from the first use I can really the notice the difference to my feet.

Latest Buys

I love reading these types of blog posts so I thought I would start doing a few of these blog posts myself.

Clothing bits: Recently I have needed to buy a lot more clothes for my new job so I have been keeping a look out for some causal tops. Last week, I popped into the store Joules which surprising I had never been in one before now because I always felt that the store wasn't for me. However soon as I walked in these stripe tops caught my eye and I felt I had to try them on and ended  up buying them both because I couldn't choose between them. These tops are made out of really thick material so they will keep me warm in the winter months to come.
When you see the next item you will see a theme going because I absolutely love stripes, I seem to be attracted to anything that is striped. So when I saw this top by the brand Tom Taylor in my local store Browns, I fell in love and have to add it to my stripe top collection.
The Body Shop: Last week, I got emailed a discount code from The Body Shop for 40% of all items and free delivery which I decided take full advantage of and made an online order for two products that I wanted to try for a while. The first product was a tub of Honeymania Bubble Bath because I love to try new bubble bath out and the second product I wanted was the Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue. I also I couldn't resist buying a bath puff because they always come in handy.
Bakeware: The last thing I ended up buying was from Argos was this rectangular cupcake carrier in pink because I wanted something that I can transport my cupcakes into work for people to enjoy in one piece. I looked for ages and this one has the option to either carry 12 or 24 cupcakes at a time.

Current Handbag Wish List

The first handbag that has been on my mind a lot recently and is on the top of my wish list is the 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Medium. The reason why I am in love with this handbag is mostly because of the shape and the way in which you can undo the zips on the front of the bag to make it look like a completely different handbag.

Next on my wish list is the Michael Kors Selma medium handbag in blue, again I just love the structure of this handbag and it just looks so simple.

The last one on my list is the Rockie by Alexander Wang, I don't know why but I use to hate this handbag because I wasn't a big stud fan. However after watching so many handbag video on YouTube I have seemed to have fallen in love with the style of them. I love that this handbag look so simple and the only detailing on the handbag is at the bottom.

What is on you handbag wish list?

London Trip: Day 3 Final Day: Millennium Bridge, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge, Shakespeare's Globe

On our last day in London we had to carry out backpacks around with us after checking out from the Bedford Hotel in the morning so we thought it would be best to do some more sightseeing. So from the hotel we caught the tube and got off at St. Paul's and started our sightseeing from there.

Next we walked along the Millennium Bridge and had a quick walk around the Tate Modern from there we walked along the Thames and came across Shakespeare's Globe.
Next we passed the HMS Belfast.
We then walked across Tower Bridge.

Then we walked around the Tower of London which at the moment is surrounded by porcelain poppies to commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War, which looks so pretty in real life.
We then got onto the tube and got off at Victoria and had another look round Westminster Abby and Big Ben.

Overall me and my Mum had a really great time and saw lots of sites but to be honest I am so glad to be home and released how lucky I am to live in such a quiet city.

London Trip Day 2: Museums, Kesington Palace & Oxford Street

Here is my second blog post for what I got up to in London:

After we had breakfast at the Bedford Hotel we headed off to the Museums in London, all of the main Museums are quite near each other. The first stop was the National History Museum which was amazing, there are so many things to see and do. My favourite thing about the museum was learning about all the animals and creatures on the planet they even had a dinosaur exhibition. Also you get to learn about how the earth was created and developed to what we know today.

Next we visited V&A museum however to be honest we felt it was a little bit of a letdown we did the fashion exhibition which was really interesting but the rest of the museum was a bit of a letdown.

We then went of to dinner and next visited the Science Museum which as really interesting I have to say the Museum has 3 floors but the second and third floor was a waste of time. So if you plan to visit the Museum stick on the first floor because that is where all the best stuff is.

Replica of Apollo 10
We then took a long walk to Kesington Palace and had a walk along all the gardens.

For the rest of the afternoon we walked along the whole of Oxford Street and did a bit of shopping and then went back to the hotel. I have to say my poor feet were killing me.

Stay tuned for day three

London Trip Day One: Buckingham Palace, Westminster, British Museum and the Bodyguard

Like I said in my last blog post, I had booked 3 day short trip to London with my Mum and I thought I would share with you some of my photos that I took and where we ended up going. As soon as we arrived in London we had to carry our backpack with us so we decided to stay in the local area near the hotel so we didn't have far to drop our bags of in the afternoon. We first took the underground tube to Buckingham Palace and had a walk around the area to look at all the nearby sites.
Outside Buckingham Palace
While we were outside Buckingham Palace we ended up seeing the changing of the queen's life guards.
The we walked up towards the Horse Guards Parade where it is used for royal parades and ceremonies.

Next we walked to Westminster and saw Big Ben which seemed a lot smaller in person than it does on TV! I also waked pasted Downing Street which was bit of a letdown because the street is cut off and surrounded my police so you couldn't get a good look at it or take a photo.
After dropping our backpacks of at the Bedford Hotel we then went for a walk to the British Museum which was a few minutes away from the hotel. The Museum contained lots of artefacts from all around the world which was broken up into sections in the museum. The most interesting part of the museum for me was the Egyptian exhibition where it was full of Egyptian statutes and Mummies.

They even mummified cats!
To finish the day of, me and my Mum had booked tickets to the Bodyguard at the Adelphi theatre which was amazing I had never seen it on DVD so the story line was new to me. Alexandra Burke was the main lead in the show and she was amazing she could sing and dance and it was the second last show before the show goes on tour.  I really recommend if you love musicals, then I would go and see it in a town near you.

Stay tuned for my London blog for day 2 and 3!
